Attention Op-Shop Fans - Lifeline $2 Clothing Sale is back!
Lifeline is preparing for their massive $2 Clothing Sale. Fashionista's, op-shop devotees and true blue bargain hunters need to get ready to burst through the doors as over 9.8 tonnes of clothing will be on offer over the two day event with clothing being restocked all day long.
The donated quality clothing ranges from pants, jeans, shirts, tops, jackets, shorts, hats, socks, swimwear and even underwear. In actual fact, the Lifeline $2 clothing sale can dress your family from head to toe.
So make a day of it with family and friends, the event is proudly sponsored by the Rotary Club of Nerang, who will be providing a sausage sizzle, cool refreshments and the much loved by the volunteers caffeine kick!
The success of the Lifeline Clothing Sale on the Gold Coast in previous years has helped raise much needed funds for Lifeline and UnitingCare Community to help support the counselling services they provide to the community.
All proceeds help fund the Lifeline 24-Hour 13 11 14 Crisis Support Line, Lifeline Community Recovery program and UnitingCare Community services for people with a disability, children and families.

BBQ in the Park 65 Roses Day for Cystic Fibrosis
LJ Hooker has been involved with helping Cystic Fibrosis Australia since 1998. As the national partner of CFA, LJ Hooker Corporate and its network of offices have contributed over $5 million to help people with Cystic Fibrosis and their families.
So bring your family and join in the fun with a BBQ, coffee cart and refreshments available. With all donations and proceeds raised going to Cystic Fibrosis Australia.
There will also be holding a raffle on the day with great prizes. Tickets are $2 each or 3 for $5.

The Mozi Run - Fun Run at Emerald Lakes
The Mozi Run is a 5km timed walk/run suitable for all ages and fitness levels. Whether you are a serious runner or prefer to walk, this community event will be lots of fun while also raising funds for children in Mozambique, Africa to receive an education. There are great prizes for all participants who want to ask friends and family to sponsor them, ranging from handballs, footballs, MP3 players, and cameras, to an iPod touch and TV. Bonus prizes for the most funds raised include an iPad mini and a resort weekend getaway. By just raising $10 or more, each participant receives a prize. Mission Educate has been working in Mozambique, Africa for over ten years. The nation of Mozambique is amongst the world's poorest nations and more than half of its population is unable to read or write. The majority of Mozambicans survive by growing just enough food to live. Mission Educate is helping to break the poverty cycle and transform lives by providing education through its Prep-12 school and adult skills training programs. Your support of The Mozi Run provides educational resources that will give hope to the people of Mozambique.

Bella's Fight For Life Fundraiser Walk
Bella Davis was diagnosed with a rare form of Cancer called Pluero Pulmonary Blastoma, this is a rare aggressive malignant tumour of the lung there are only 120 cases recorded worldwide. Sadly Bella was diagnosed at just age 3, and after having her left lung removed she underwent intensive chemotherapy for 12 months and as a result she went to remission, but only for a short few months. Unfortunately the tumour has since returned and is now attacking her right lung. And just 5 days after Bella celebrating her 5th birthday Bella's mother Amy received the horrible news that no mother should ever have to hear, her little girl is sadly losing her battle to this terrible disease and has only months to live.
You can help this wonderful family by joining in Bella's Fight For Life Fundraiser Walk.
The walk will begin at 8am, heading to Miami High school before returning to Broadwater Parklands. Nutritional snacks and water can be purchased at checkpoints throughout the walk.

Family Fun Day for Variety the Children's Charity
There's so much happening at this Family Fun Day for the Variety Children's Charity including a petting zoo, jumping castle, magician, face painting, mechanical bull, rock wall, kids karaoke, BBQ, wildlife zoo, Live music and more.
The Variety Club Gold Coast, Noah's Farm and Kevin the Pig Whisperer will head to Nerang for an afternoon of fun while raising much needed funds for sick, disadvantaged and special needs kids of Queensland. Thoroughbred racing pig's start from a box, race down lane ways, opening the gates, through obstacles, tyres, 44 gallon drums over hay bales navigating numerous obstacles including weight triggered gates, milk triggered gates, slides and tunnels to the final reward a dish of food! Pig Racing has become a refined art according to its supporters, so if you've never experienced it before, don't miss the fun.
