Schizophrenia Awareness Week Walk
Schizophrenia Awareness Week is your chance to get involved and raise awareness about schizophrenia.
On Saturday come along for a short 3km walk, lunch and fun day of activities for the whole family. There will also be an information table and a raffle to win some great prizes.
Registration starts at 9.30 to begin the walk at 10am. Registration is $12 per person which includes a t-shirt, lunch and participation in the day.
Come along and help raise awareness about an illness that affects 1 in 100 people in our community or just come along for a fun day out and learn something new!

Uplifting Magic Night of Music
This Saturday you won't want to miss seeing two amazing multi-instrumental performers, Matt James and Matt Aitchison for a very uplifting magical night of music at the beautiful Tallebudgera Valley Community Hall.
At the very heart of Matt James' music lies his powerful ability to transform the vibrations of the didgeridoo into a symphony of sounds. Stemming from tribal roots and blending many musical styles, Matt's music is truly eclectic and powerful.
Best known in this part of the world for his work over 6 years and 4 albums with world music group OKA, Matt Aitchison now composes music for film and television, as well as producing artists in the Byron Bay area, performing and recording under the name Favourite Son. A drummer, songwriter, keyboardist and singer, Matt's musical touch is unique and unmistakable.
Delicious food, non-alcoholic drinks and chai will be available by Healthy Gourmet Catering.

RSPCA Million Paws Walk 2012
The Gold Coast Million Paws Walk continues to be one of RSPCA QLD'S most popular outdoor events for animal lovers and their furry friends. So don't miss out on this Sunday.
Enjoy a healthy walk, mingle with other pet owners, enter fantastic competitions and end the day by relaxing with great entertainment, a variety of food and drink, exhibitor stalls and animal demonstrations.
Everyone is invited to attend - you don't even need a dog to enter.
Funds raised through walk registrations and online fundraising goes towards vital programs, services and campaigns undertaken by RSPCA, as well as looking after the animals in their care, so have some fun and support a great cause.

Walk To D'Feet for Motor Neurone Disease
Come and join in the fun, for the inaugural walk to D'Feet for Motor Neurone Disease.
Registration will be available on the day from 9.30am.
There will be heaps of fun things happening including a BBQ, raffles, music, stretching & assistance after the Walk by Exclusively You Health Studios.
All registered participants will receive a free Walk T-shirt, so get active, have fun and support a good cause.

Mad Hatters Biggest Morning Tea Skate
Twin Towns Derby Brats and Epic Skate Rink invites you to join in all the fun at the Mad Hatters Biggest Morning Tea Skate.
This Sunday come down and meet the brats and help raise money for breast cancer.
Everyone will enjoy great fun, great fitness all for a great cause.
There will be prizes for best hats, kids will enjoy face painting and temporary tattoos along with 3hrs of skating fun.

Blood Brothers by The Spotlight Theatrical Company
This Saturday gather your friends and be entertained at the Spotlight Theatre.
Check out Blood Brothers- a classic musical by Willy Russell. It is set in Liverpool; twins are separated at birth but cross paths later in life.
Now commonly regarded as one of the all-time great British musicals, Blood Brothers has touched the hearts and minds of a generation of theatregoers.

National Heritage Motoring Day
On Sunday as part of National Heritage Motoring Day, The Gold Coast Antique Auto Car Club will have Vintage & Classic Cars on display at their clubhouse.
All ages are welcome to come down and check it out, there will also be a Quilt Exhibition showcasing the work of this enduring craft at the Gold Coast Hinterland Heritage Museum in the same complex to help celebrate Heritage Week.

Riverstone Roundup with Free James Blundell Concert
Country music legend James Blundell will perform on Sunday at a special free appearance so don't miss out!
Blundell will be the star attraction at the Riverstone Roundup, a community event to celebrate the opening of the coast's newest display home centre.
There will be heaps happening for the whole family to enjoy such as an RM Williams display, pony & wagon rides, a jumping castle and face painting for the kids, a mechanical bull for the big kids, wood chopping demonstrations, whip-cracking, sheep-dog displays and more.
