Police confirmed a fatality following a unit fire at Waterford West this morning.
Emergency services were called to Allora Street around 7.50am following reports of a fire, and when police arrived, the unit was engulfed by flames.
The unit was destroyed, and a unit next door was also damaged.
A crime scene has been declared. Investigations into the cause of the fire are ongoing.
The body of a 65 year old man was located inside the unit.
There are reports a man has died in a unit fire, south of Brisbane.
Queensland Ambulance has confirmed there were no patients treated following the blaze, while Queensland Police have said it's 'too early' to determine if anyone was inside.
Community group Logan House Fire Support Network says its in contact with the family of an elderly man who lived at the now partially-collapsed unit.

Emergency crews were called to the unit on Allora Street just before 8am, as neighbours had started self-evacuating.
Four trucks managed to bring the blaze under control by 8.30am. It's believed the neighbouring units have been mostly spared from any damage.
Queensland Ambulance says there are no patients from the fire.
Queensland Fire and Emergency has called investigators to the scene, so they can determine how the blaze started.
