Carrie Underwood has come a long way since winning American Idol all those years ago.
Anyone who watched her then knew that she had what it takes to become a superstar, and the shy girl from Oklahoma hasn’t just reached those super stardom dizzying heights – she has soared above and beyond.
Underwood has received so many awards and accolades during her phenomenal journey as a country music artist, her latest being her induction into the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Thursday (Sept. 20).
"How is this my life?" the superstar asked the many family, friends, fans and music industry insiders who gathered outside the Capitol Records building at 1750 N. Vine Street to watch her receive the 2,646th star on the Walk of Fame.

Former Idol judge Simon Cowell was on hand to praise Underwood, recalling that season of American Idol auditions was going horribly before she auditioned in St. Louis.
Carrie's friend and side-kick Brad Paisley was also there to share a few words about the singer in a way that only Brad can - he has a way with words.

Carrie will be performing her only full length concert at the Deni Ute Muster this weekend.
