The Toyota Country Music Festival, Tamworth where Country music lovers gather every January to celebrate all that’s great about Aussie Country music – and there’s so much to celebrate, this year was a cracker.

Tens of thousands descended upon the Country Music capital for ten glorious days of Australia’s finest country artists playing for our ultimate listening and viewing pleasure.

Tamworth launched its own music Channel broadcasting to the world, giving independent country music performers the chance to perform and reach new fans across the globe.  You can view the pilot here.

The festivities kicked off with the Toyota Country Music Festival Opening Concert on Friday 18 – and what a concert it was, featuring performances from some of Australia’s best.

Always a crowd favourite Adam Harvey performed at the Toyota Country Music Festival Opening Concert 

Sunday night we got ourselves a brand new Toyota Star Maker when the Grand Final was held.  This year marked the 40th staging of Toyota Star Maker, with Blake O'Connor crowned this years winner.

Americana in the Park was a crowd favorite. Hosted by Lachlan Bryan and featuring the talents of Golden Guitar winner Kristy Cox, rising star Megan Cooper, Rose Zita Falko and exciting new due Montgomery Church.

Travis Collins was inducted into the Galaxy of Stars as the 2019 recipient joining some of the greatest names in country music bestowed the honour. 
The announcement was made in front of many fans following Collins’ performance at FanZone, much to his surprise.


The days and nights were jam-packed with nothing but the best of Australian Country music and the crowds loved it!

The festival wrapped up on Sunday night with the Golden Guitar Awards.  The Wolfe Brothers were the big winners on the night walking away with four Golden Guitars.  Full list of winners can be found here.

James Blundell was inducted into Country Music Roll of Renown - following an outstanding career spanning over 30 years, James Blundell was honoured with the industry’s most prestigious Award – the Australasian Country Music Roll of Renown.
