The New Acland Coal Mine expansion saga continues in the Land Court this week.
Workers from around the Toowoomba region rallied together to show their support for Day One of the hearing which was held yesterday.
The court heard that reports identified several potential risks to water which would be mitigated if they arose.
Stage 3 of the expansion project would require around 1300 hectares and has received preliminary Government approval so far.
The hearing is expected to run for at least four days.
