Two bush walkers have emerged from Lamington National Park unscathed, after being lost for 24 hours.

The pair managed to find their own way out of the bush on Thursday evening, after they were reported missing the previous afternoon.

They had set off from O'Reilly's Rainforest retreat to walk the West Canungra Creek Circuit but got disoriented.

A 62-year-old man also lost on the track was rescued by SES crews that same night but the search for a man and woman in their thirties continued on Thursday until the pair contacted police in the evening and said they were safe.

They ended up coming out of the bush at Binna Burra.
