A man has been officially charged with murder over the death of his nine-month-old daughter whose body washed up on Surfers Paradise beach this week.
New South Wales police confirmed on Thursday morning the 47-year-old had been charged and was refused bail to appear at Tweed Heads Local Court later today.
It's after he was extradited from the Gold Coast on Wednesday.
Detectives will allege the baby was killed in NSW, before being found by a passer-by at around 12.30am on Monday.
Investigations under Strike Force Palua are continuing.
