Beach bogging ends Narrowneck joy ride

A man's paid the price for trying to drive along a Gold Coast beach after becoming bogged early Tuesday.

His white Ford Falcon ute became stuck on the path to Narrowneck Beach.

Nine News reporter Sam Cucchiara spoke to the driver and said his ride might be there for a while.

"He says he only has seven dollars to his name so he's not sure how he's going to get out at the moment," he said.

Queensland Police said life guards raised the alarm with them on Tuesday morning, suspecting the driver may be drunk.
