What happens to Borobi now that the Commonwealth Games are over?
Well, a local MP reckons the mascot should stay right here on the Gold Coast.
Member for Currumbin Jann Stuckey is leading a push to get the famous, blue koala to call Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary home.
She believes he'll be right at home among his fellow furry and feathered friends.
"Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary is a fitting home for Borobi now the Commonwealth Games have finished and I hope GOLDOC will entrust him to us,” said Ms Stuckey.
Legacy items from the 2018 Gold Coast Commonwealth Games are currently being distributed, with the new Home of the Arts in Bundall gifted a giant inflatable whale used during the opening ceremony.
Ms Stuckey has put the call out for locals to get on board and support the push for Borobi to have a home at the popular Wildlife Sanctuary.
