Queensland Health is not taking any chances of passing gastro on to Commonwealth Games athletes and visitors.
It's working with The Southport School to address a five-week long outbreak of Norovirus at the school that's affected hundreds of students and staff.
They've now made the call to shut the facility down for three days so it can be given a complete anti-viral clean to get rid of the germs.
That will happen once the term wraps up on March 20, giving students an extra-long Easter break.
TSS facilities will then be handed over as training venues for Commonwealth Games athletes.
