Comm Games Parking Signs Still Up Nine Days After Closing Ceremony

Fines Will Still Be Enforced

Comm Games Parking Signs Still Up Nine Days After Closing Ceremony GC2018 parking sign on Old Burleigh Road

Just because the Commonwealth Games are over doesn't mean people can start parking in their regular spots once again.

A number of GC2018 parking signs have yet to be taken down around the city nine days after the event wrapped up, including on the busy stretch of Old Burleigh Road in Broadbeach.

Around 100 parking spots south of Kurrawa Surf Club are still being enforced by the altered parking rules.

Gold Coast City Council officials claim their officers are still in the process of taking down all Commonwealth Games signage across the city, but have confirmed drivers should still expect to face fines if they park there.
