Another boost for the city's tourism industry with Gold Coast Airport expected to announce direct flights to South Korea.
The deal will see Jetstar team up with JeJu Air to deliver three services between Coolangatta and Seoul a week from December this year.
A one-way trip would cost around $900.
The addition is set to create 660 more tourism jobs for the city each year.
South Korea is currently the Gold Coast's sixth largest international market for tourists, with almost 60,000 visiting Queensland last year.
The official announcement is happening at Gold Coast Airport today.
