The search for a missing kayaker has ended in tragedy.
Emergency services were on scene at Tallebudgera Creek this morning where the remains of a deceased man were found.
Queensland Police later confirmed it was the body of Chris Dicker, who sparked a desperate search when he vanished yesterday morning.
The 28-year-old went missing after entering Tallebudgera Creek around 7am on Sunday.
His kayak was later found on the western side of the bridge with some scuff marks in it and the paddle was missing.
Mr Dicker's body was discovered by a local resident near the the bridge around 6.20am on Monday before police were notified.
A report will now be prepared for the coroner.
