A driver has been rushed to hospital in a critical condition following a nasty single-car smash at Tamborine.
The 69-year-old man suffered life-threatening injuries when his car flipped on Mundoolun Connection Rd on Sunday afternoon, before coming to a rest on its roof.
As of Sunday night, he was still fighting for life at the Gold Coast University Hospital.
The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the incident.
Meantime, a 71-year-old woman suffered some minor injuries after a two vehicle smash in Tweed Heads on Sunday night.
Two other people were checked over at the scene after their ute crashed off the road and into trees during the incident, but they declined transport to hospital.
