A elderly man has died after getting struck by a car at Tweed Heads
Police believed the 86-year-old was attempting to cross Leisure Driver at Banora Point when he was hit around 1pm on Tuesday.
He was rushed to Gold Coast University Hospital in a critical condition, but passed away a short time later.
The 30-year-old woman behind the wheel of the vehicle wasn't injured, but was taken to Tweed Heads District Hospital for mandatory testing.
Police confirmed the death on Wednesday morning, and said investigators would prepare a report for the coroner.
