A man has tragically drowned at a popular Miami beach this morning.
The man, reportedly in his 70s, was pulled from the water near North Burleigh Life Saving Club at around 7am on Friday.
Queensland Ambulance were called to the scene and attempted to revive the man, who was in a critical condition.
Sadly he could not be saved and died at the scene.
It followed a near drowning at Surfers Paradise last night, when a man ran into trouble at around 6.20pm.
Paramedics treated him near Elkhorn Avenue before transporting him to Gold Coast University Hospital in a stable condition.
