A Gold Coast family's tradition of buying a lotto ticket together has paid off!
Six members of the family will each take home $75,000 after taking out a share of the first division prize in Saturday's Gold Lotto.
All up they received $456,752.50 after buying a syndicate together from Slacks Newsagency & Casket in Southport.
“There’s six of us altogether in this syndicate. It’s just a family tradition I started a few years ago and we’ve just kept it going ever since," the syndicate leader told Golden Casket.
She had checked the ticket on Sunday morning but missed the game showing all six winning numbers in a row, so was pretty chuffed when Golden Casket called to let her know she had won.
“I can’t wait to tell everyone the good news!” She said.
“For me, I might go travelling around Australia.
“Thanks to this, we won't have to worry about the price of fuel that’s for sure!”
