A couple of strange and illegal pets have been found at a home in Paradise Point.

Police executed a search warrant at an Oxley Drive property on Monday afternoon, allegedly uncovering some drug utensils and two exotic reptiles in terrariums.

A boa constrictor and a leopard gecko (pictured below) were seized.

A 42-year-old man was charged with possessing a declared pest with a court date set for early 2019.

Two other men and a woman were charged with offences relating to the drug utensils found at the scene, each facing counts of possessing property suspected of being used in connection with a drug offence and possessing drug utensils.

One of them, a 36-year-old man, was also charged with obstructing police.

They were due in the Southport Magistrates Court on August 16.
