Kids as young as nine are believed to responsible for a blaze earlier this week, that caused the evacuation of a Logan shopping centre.
The fire broke out in the clothing section of Kmart at the Hyperdome on Monday afternoon, causing $140,000 worth of damage all up, including loss of trade.
Police yesterday arrested six children aged between 9 and 13 over the incident.
The group has also been accused of setting fires at two Brisbane shopping centres this month, in Fairfield and Sunnybank Hills.
Two boys and two girls aged between 10 and 13 have since been charged with several offences including endangering property by fire and stealing, while two 9-year-old boys have been dealt with under the Youth Justices Act.
Detective Acting Inspector Peter Waugh is urging all parents to make sure they know where their kids are, and make sure they have responsible supervision.
“Lighting a fire in a shopping centre is reckless behaviour which could result in an absolute tragedy," he said.
