Man stabbed in the back in Surfers Paradise

A 22-year-old man has been rushed to hospital after getting stabbed in the back at Surfers Paradise.

He was in a serious condition after the attack at a vacant property on Thornton Street around 10:10 on Wednesday night, but his injuries aren't believed to be life-threatening.

Police are now on the hunt for his attacker who fled the scene.

It's believed he and his victim are known to each other.

Anyone who witnessed the attack, or has any information regarding the incident, is being urged to contact police.

Meantime, another 22-year-old man was also rushed to hospital from Surfers Paradise overnight after getting hit by a car.

He suffered head injuries when he was struck at the corner of Beach Road and Surfers Paradise Boulevard just before 11.
