Man Charged Over Daylight Nerang Shooting

Skateboarder Shot After Argument

UPDATE: A man has been charged over an alleged shooting at Nerang yesterday afternoon.

The 22-year-old is accused of shooting a 28-year-old man in the legs on Mortenroad Road just after midday on Monday, after the pair got into an argument.

He's been charged with one count of griveous bodily harm and one count of possessing an unlicensed firearm, and is due to face Southport Magistrates Court tomorrow.

MONDAY: The manhunt continues after a skateboarder was shot in the legs at Nerang.

Police claim the 28-year-old alleged victim was involved in an argument with a 22-year-old man just after midday on Monday, being riding off along Mortensen Road on his skateboard.

That's when he was shot in the legs, suffering non-life threatening injuries.

He was taken to Gold Coast University Hospital, while police search for his alleged assailant.
