Police have laid charges over a shooting in the northern Gold Coast suburbs last week.
Officers arrested a 27-year-old Arundel man on Sunday, three days after a man was found lying on the side of a road in Helensvale with a bullet wound to his lower leg.
The 42-year-old victim is still recovering in hospital.
Police will allege he was shot in the leg then dumped out of a car on Helensvale Rd on Thursday afternoon.
Detectives were looking for three men and a gold or silver hatchback spotted at the Runaway Bay Shopping Centre earlier in the day.
They questioned one man the day of the incident, but later released him without charge, while a second man was taken into custody on Sunday.
He was later charged with armed robbery, acts intended to cause grievous bodily harm and breach of bail and was due to face the Southport Magistrates Court on Monday.
Investigations into the identity of a third man wanted for questioning continue.
