Paramedics say their lives, and the life of a patient, were put at risk when someone threw a rock at their ambulance from an overpass on the M1.
It smashed into their windscreen in Gaven around midday on Saturday, while they were on their way to a job.
The Queensland Ambulance Service has labelled it an act of "moronic, senseless stupidity" and says aside from the obvious dangers it was lucky the patient they were on their way to help wasn't in a more dire condition, or lives could have been lost.
"Thankfully our crew is ok and uninjured," said a post on the QAS Facebook page.
"Let’s hope the individual responsible takes a moment to think, it could have been one of their loved ones our crew was attending".
