Might want to take a raincoat along if you're heading to Commonwealth Games Opening Ceremony.
We could get a sprinkle or two during tomorrow night's spectacular, but forecasters believe they won't last long.
Dean Narramore from the Bureau of Meteorology said thankfully Tropical Cyclone Iris, which reformed off the coast of Cairns, won't impact the Gold Coast.
"While it is expected to move south-east and then south it's still going to be well north of our area," he said.
Mr Narramore said if we're lucky, we'll get a long break between showers between 8pm and 11pm on Wednesday night while the Opening Ceremony is underway.
"The good news is if we do get impacted by a shower or two they will be brief and shouldn't last more than five or worst case, ten minutes," he said.
Things will clear up later this week, with a mostly sunny weekend ahead.
