A man has been rushed to hospital after an alleged stabbing incident in Burleigh Waters overnight.
The 55-year-old suffered a number of wounds after being allegedly attacked on his leg with a bladed weapon at a Harrier Drive residence at around 12:30am on Monday.
He was transported to the Gold Coast University Hospital with life-threatening injuries, and was in a stable condition after undergoing surgery.
Another man, aged 59, sustained facial injuries and was reportedly questioned by police, but charges had yet to be laid.
The two men are known to each other.
Meanwhile, detectives were still on the hunt for a man who escaped in a boat after allegedly stabbing another man at Paradise Point on Saturday.
A 46-year-old man was taken to the Gold Coast University Hospital with a wound to his hand after witnesses saw a scuffle break out on an Oxley Drive footpath at around 9am.
Police believe a man involved fled the waterfront property in a boat before they arrived at the scene.
