Surfer Suffers Suspected Spinal Injury At Kingscliff

A man may have suffered a spinal injury after coming off his board while surfing at Kingscliff today.

New South Wales ambulance crews were called to the beach after the 40-year-old hit the sand at around 10:15am on Friday.

It's believed he injured his spine, with reports he had briefly lost sensation from the neck down.

The Westpac Helicopter was then called to the scene, and flew him to the Princess Alexandra Hospital in Brisbane.
