A toddler was rushed to hospital after a near drowning incident in Elanora overnight.
Paramedics were called to a private residence around 5pm on Wednesday.
They transported the little boy to the Gold Coast University Hospital in a serious condition.
It was a busy night for Queensland Ambulance Officers on the Gold Coast; they also took a woman in her 40s to hospital with a nasty head injury after she fell off her bike on Hope Street in Nerang shortly after 5pm.
Critical care paramedics on board the ambulance say her injuries were significant.
Meantime, a man fell from a ladder at a Mermaid Waters workplace on Thursday morning.
He suffered a hip injury in the fall at 6.17am.
