The Gold Coast has awoken to its coldest morning so far this year.
Coolangatta got down to 11.2 degrees at 4:35am, while the Seaway reached a minimum of 13.
"Those temperatures are a few degrees above average and certainly the coolest that we've had so far this year," said Senior Bureau of Meteorology forecaster Brett Harrison.
It might not be time to get the winter-woollies out just yet though, Mr Harrison said the cool nights won't stick around for long.
"The low minimum temperature's expected to hang around again into tomorrow but a touch warmer, and then back towards the high teens for the remainder of the week," he said.
