A woman was rushed to The Gold Coast University Hospital in a critical condition yesterday, after getting hit by a car in Burleigh Waters.
The 70-year-old was struck by a vehicle turning off Christine Ave, while she was pushing a pram across Dunlin Dr just before midday.
She underwent a procedure in hospital on Tuesday night, but was still fighting for life the next morning.
Thankfully, the baby she was pushing wasn't hit by the car, but the little boy did suffer some minor injuries when his pram fell over during the incident.
The 86-year-old man behind the wheel wasn't injured.
The Forensic Crash Unit is now investigating.
