Today, Greater Shepparton City Council announced that Cricket Australia is bringing the national championship to Greater Shepparton for the first time in January 2019.
What a fabulous opportunity for Greater Shepparton, our cricket fans, and the wider community to see the caliber of play in our region during the 9 days of the championships… This highlights our ambition of being recognised as regional Australia’s sporting capital, and something we’re very proud of.

The Toyota Australia Country Cricket Championships will be played in Greater Shepparton from 3rd – 11th January, with both male and female teams.
In addition to the cricket, Greater Shepparton is set to host a number of major sporting events over the next 12 months, including the BMX Australia National Championships, the Hockey Australia Country Championships, and more.
Mayor Kim O'Keeffe expressed excitement to welcome visitors from around the country "generating economic stimulation for our region" and keeping our local businesses busy!
The cricket events will be free for all spectators at all venues throughout the duration of the championships.
