Freakish Accident On A Numurkah Farm

A 34 year old man's been stabbed by a tractor fork in a freakish incident in Numurkah yesterday.

It's understood the worker at a Rendells Road Family Farm had hopped off a running tractor to handle two bales of hay in its path.

The tractor has then rolled forward - it's fork piercing his lower back and abdomen - skewering him onto the machinery for up to an hour.

He was flown to the Royal Melbourne Hospital for emergency surgery. A WorkSafe Victoria investigation is underway.
