Eight-year-old drag racer Anita Board has died after she lost control of her vehicle and hit a cement barrier at a track in Perth.
She crashed at Perth Motorplex yesterday and was taken to Rockingham Hospital for her injuries, before being transferred to Princess Margaret Hospital which she later succumbed to.
She was apparently attempting a solo drive when she lost control of he car and hit a wall.
She had to be revived at the scene.
Perth Motorplex suspended racing after the crash, but reopened later in the day.
VenuesWest confirmed no other vehicles were involved and that it was helping WA Police investigate the incident.
