The Footy Show has landed an exclusive interview with Dustin Martin, where he confirmed he will stay at Richmond.
Triple M's own Eddie McGuire and Sam Newman sat down with the Richmond champ, who told them he will stay at Punt Road for the next seven years.
"It's a massive relief, to be honest. I'm sick of people talking about it," he revealed on The Footy Show.
He said he certainly considered taking up North Melbourne's massive offer.
“I certainly thought about it," he said.
"It was a stressful year, believe it or not. I was kind of wrestling with myself. The relationships I've got there (at Richmond) are far more important.
"You've got to make the most of my football career while you can...in the end, as I said, Richmond's home to me."
He opened up on his meeting with North Melbourne, thanking the club for showing interest in him.
"I think North's the most public one. I met with the coach and just the leadership group," he told Channel 9.
“I appreciate those guys for taking the time and showing interest. We just had a meeting, a couple of times.
“I kind of felt like I was cheating on my girlfriend or something. It was weird. All good."
