Liverpool have pulled off one of the all time great comebacks in sport in their Champions League semi-final overnight.
Trailing 3-0 over the two-legged tie against Barcelona — arguably the best team in the world with probably the best player in history in Lionel Messi — the Reds somehow managed to win 4-0 to take the tie out 4-3 on aggregate.
Despite missing two of their own best players in Mo Salah and Roberto Firmino, Liverpool gave themselves some hope early with a goal via Divock Origi:
Georginio Wijnaldum — on for injured defender Andy Robertson — then scored two goals in a couple of minutes to bring the tie level:
Origi then popped up for the winner after an absolute troll move pulled off by him and Trent Alexander-Arnold”
Liverpool will play either Tottenham Hotspur or Ajax in the final in Madrid on June 1st.
