This weekend many Gold Coasters will be swaying to sweet throw-downs of indie-folk guitar riffs and singing to soft melody likely to send you into a lyrical trance. That is, if you were lucky enough to get a ticket.
The sell out performance of nearly 2,500 tickets to Xavier Rudd's Gold Coast show will take centre stage inside The Paddock at NightQuarter in Helensvale this Friday night with doors opening from 4pm.

Rudd has been an Aussie icon for more than a decade, tackling many social issues through the magic of song.
Bringing light to Environmentalism, Indigenous Australians, Humanity and Spirituality through his earthy lyrics and iconic sound he's known as 'one of Australia's most important artists'.
Now on his ninth studio album, Storm Boy, it's being hailed as his 'finest release to date', similar to his first glorious single, Walk Away.
And you've guessed it. These hits are coming straight for NightQuarter.
The Victoria born musician will be playing a select number of Australian dates this August, belting out a collection of his greatest hits from old to new.
Touching down on the GC on Friday before heading to Brisbane on the 12th August, expect for your ears to be in heaven over beautiful melody and messages of humility and wisdom.
